ONLINE with Maria Hinojosa and David Luis “Suave” Gonzalez
Maria Hinojosa spent nearly 20 years documenting with David Luis “Suave” Gonzalez, who was incarcerated for a crime he was convicted of at the age of 17. The Pulitzer-Prize-winning podcast ‘Suave’ tells the story of that relationship and Suave’s life before, during, and after being released from prison.

Walker will present on her most recent series ‘Stolen: Surviving St. Michael's’ which delves into the history of residential schools in Canada and the ways that history has personally impacted her own family, specifically her father, his siblings, and their community as a whole.

OHMA 2022-23 Teaching Artist Sayre Quevedo will present a virtual artist talk on his work, exploring the ways that his documentary practice is shaped by his personal history and intimate relationships, literature, and film. He will also present a new work in progress entitled Orexis.
