Oral History Training Workshops with OHMA

Until 2020, twice a year, OHMA faculty and alumni facilitated an intensive day of in-person oral history training workshops. Since the pandemic began, we have moved these workshops online and spread them throughout the year. Our most recent workshops have all explored the theme of anti-oppression and decolonial oral history practices, and we have begun to include instructors who are not OHMA faculty or alums. These workshops are open to the public and on a sliding scale. We invite attendees and prospective students to immerse themselves in an introduction to oral history as well as its diverse range of applications. Below you can get an idea of the types of workshops we offer.
