We did it!

OHMA students at their 2015 pop-up exhibition event, Then, Now Next: Oral History and Social Change

Our first fundraising campaign for OHMA couldn't have gone better. Over half of our alums donated time or money to OHMA since we announced this campaign at the end of 2015, resulting in an $1000 matching gift as well as a $300 gift to support student recording equipment. We are extremely proud of this strong base of support from our alums - it shows how much our program matters to the people who have invested the most in it.

Alumni contributed in a variety of ways. We reached over 50% involvement (38 out of 73 alumni as of October 2015 graduation) through alums contributing to the Columbia Oral History Alumni Association's leadership, projects, and programming; by offering in-kind donations in our Mentoring Program, providing skills building opportunities, and serving as reviewers of student work; and pledging monetary gifts to support OHMA's future.

A big thank you to all of our donors. We're absolutely thrilled to begin preparations for OHMA's Tenth Anniversary fundraising initiative and celebration this way. Happy almost-tenth-birthday, OHMA!
