Building Bridges: Stories from a Homeless Shelter

This installation is a part of Then, Now, Next: Oral History for Social Change, OHMA's multimedia interactive popup exhibition of stories, which will take place at the Refectory at Union Theological Seminary on April 29, 2015.

In the Building Bridges exhibit the viewer will be invited to listen to stories about homeless women and share ideas on connecting with the homeless.

Leonard Cox is passionate about documentary filmmaking. His film, THE KILLER WITHIN, was nominated for an EMMY for best documentary. His documentary, QUESTIONING FAITH, was broadcast on HBO/CINEMAX and was ranked among the top 10 influential films of 2002. His short film, FRIENDS IN DEED, won a TELLY Award. Cox has been nominated for two additional EMMY Awards for his work on NBC’s coverage of the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain, and for his work on the children’s television show WORD WORLD. This is Cox’s first pop-up exhibit and he is pleased to share this experience with his classmates in the Oral History program at Columbia University. IN DEED, won a TELLY Award.
