Indigenous Language Revitalization

The panel will be moderated by Elsa Stamatopoulou and joining her are Delessin George-Warren (Catawba) and B. Kainoa Embernate (‘Oiwi Hawai’i).

Elsa Stamatopoulou is the Director of Indigenous Peoples’ Rights Program and Adjunct Professor at Columbia University. She is First Chief of the Secretariat of the Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues.

Delessin George-Warren (Catawba) an artist and community organizer. George-Warren is recognized as a “25 under 25” by United National Inter Tribal Youth.

B. Kainoa Embernate (‘Ōiwi Hawai’i) is the Founder of Hawaiian Language Worldwide and Kumu of Hālau ‘Ōlelo. He is also a student of Instructional Design for Online Learning.
