Solby Lim 임솔비 is a researcher, oral historian-in-training, and diasporic Korean based out of New York. Solby is currently a graduate student at Columbia's Oral History Master of Arts program, where she is creating an oral history of Asian and Asian American student organizing at Barnard/Columbia for her thesis work. Solby graduated from Barnard College with a degree in History and Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, where her thesis on Third World internationalism in North Korean and US-based print publications during the 1960s-80 was awarded dual departmental honors. She also worked as an editorial intern for the College's Communications department as a student. 

Solby has interned previously at GLAAD and W. W. Norton & Co. Her passions include cultural and social history, archiving, collage media, activism and art, Asian/American issues, anti-colonial and anti-imperialist history, issues of the Korean peninsula, and the intersections between race, gender, and sexuality.
