On behalf of the Oral History Master of Arts Program at Columbia University, thank you to the emerging and established oral historians who made our One-Day Oral History Training Workshops on Saturday, January 28 such a huge success.
Approximately 250 attended the event and nearly as many were on our waitlists! Most of the audience was comprised of individuals interested in exploring oral history methods in their own industries and academic pursuits, and still others were oral historians working on a diverse array of projects in New York City and the surrounding areas. We had one participant who traveled all the way from Canada!
Not only was it exciting to meet everyone and gain new knowledge, but the event was also for a good cause. Proceeds from the event go towards funding the annual OHMA Merit Scholarship for an incoming student and future oral historian.
Take a look at some of the images captured by current OHMA student, Emma Courtland (2015).
